Naples Florida

Naples Florida 1 was settled on November 6, 1886 and incorporated on May 25, 1949. Marco Island and Naples area is one of the US wealthiest cities per capita and has one of the highest incomes in the country. Naples is less than an hour to Fort Myers, less than a two hour drive to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and about a two and a half hour drive to Tampa.

Several top private Fortune 1000 companies and charities call Naples home. Naples just isn’t a great place to live, but also has a local economy that pays well. Head down Fifth Avenue or Third Street South to find unique shops. Naples Beach has over 10 miles of white powder sand that is popular for volleyball and building sand castles.

Thomas Eddison famously stayed in Naples, Florida as his second home, along with Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone. You can be taken back in time by visiting the Edison Ford Winter Estate. The city of Ft Myers was home to the research center for Eddison for exotic botany and dendrology. 

Naples is also known for golf, for its parks and rec beaches and the Naples Pier that is on12th Avenue South. Just north of the city is Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, which is known for water activities and its luxurious beach.
